Senior at what age?
Depending on the context, the age at which we are considered senior differs. From a medical point of view, seniors are aged 70 and over. According to the French state, retirement age marks the arrival in the world of seniors. According to INSEE, a person is a senior from the age of 65. In marketing, we talk about people aged 50 and over, as their lifestyles and consumer needs evolve. In the corporate world, it's 45, so imagine in sports!
It's also possible not to consider yourself a senior citizen at 80 - that's the spirit of eternal youth! But what we're interested in here is tackling the subject from a physiological point of view.
Quality of life for seniors
Over the last few decades, the profile of senior citizens has continued to evolve. Scientific progress has enabled us to significantly increase our life expectancy. As a result, our life expectancy in good health has been greatly increased!
Seniors are now aware of the importance of regular physical and intellectual activity, as well as rich social relationships. More and more seniors are signing up for sports and other physical activity courses, as well as training courses to keep learning and preserve their intellectual capacities. It's also worth noting that the vast majority of association volunteers are senior citizens.
To take advantage of all these possibilities, a balanced diet is of course essential. The consumption of organic foods is constantly on the rise, and seniors are playing a major role in this trend. Nevertheless, the body changes with the years: for women, the menopause plays a major role. For men, it's andropause. On average, these natural biological phenomena occur around the age of fifty, and are often followed by sleep disturbances, aches and pains, or anxiety that appears or increases.
CBD supports quality of life
According to several studies, the CBD molecule plays several roles in our physiological and psychiatric functions. This molecule activates sensors naturally present in the human body. Good results have been reported on patients suffering from sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, pain linked to rheumatism, cancer, multiple sclerosis and chronic pain such as fibromyalgia.

Other studies are underway, and CBD is sure to have many more trump cards to play, as the scientific community places ever-increasing faith in this little molecule.
