CBD dosage: our usage tips for a good dosage
What is CBD?
First of all, it is important to understand where CBD comes from, its full name is cannabidiol. It is a component of the hemp plant. This molecule is one of the best known and sought after in hemp after THC, which is known for its psychotropic effects. If the dosage of THC in products offered for sale in France is prohibited if the rate exceeds 0.2%, the dosage of CBD has no particular limit. Some isolate extractions even reproduce CBD at a rate of around 99%!
You have understood that CBD is a molecule of the plant, but cannabidiol, its full name, has assets that you may not be aware of. To begin with, CBD has anti-inflammatory properties capable of reducing pain! This can be a great help in the fight against chronic diseases for example. Also, CBD has anticonvulsant properties capable of relieving patients suffering from epileptic seizures. CBD even helps people suffering from panic and anxiety attacks, but that's not all! How to consume CBD edible oils?

No matter what methods you choose to consume your CBD, the important thing is that you find the one that works best for you in order to get the beneficial results of CBD on you.
What dosage for CBD?
How much CBD can I take?
The administration method that we always highlight, because it is the best, is the sublingual method! It consists of placing drops of CBD oil directly under your tongue.
Once the drops are placed under your tongue, you will need to wait a minute with the few drops of CBD oil under your tongue so that the oral mucous membranes can properly absorb the CBD and pass it into the bloodstream.
The recommended amount is really personal and varies depending on each pathology. The advice is and will always be to start with a low dose as well as with a low concentration (for example: a few drops of concentrated oil at 20% CBD ), to then increase gradually until obtaining the desired effects.
When to take CBD?
The amount of CBD consumed varies depending on your weight, your age and also the desired effects. If your weight is higher than average, you will logically need to consume more CBD or seek a higher concentration.
The number of doses will change if you consume 40% or 10% CBD oil, because a higher concentration of CBD will require a fewer number of doses than a lower concentration.
In any case, start with a low concentration of CBD and take a few drops once or twice a day for a few days. Then, you can gradually increase the number of drops until you get the effects you are looking for. The CBD dosage is important to know whether or not you are sensitive to cannabidiol.
Additionally, it is important that CBD is consumed regularly and at set times for best results. The CB1 and CB2 receptors in your endocannabinoid system will respond much better and faster if they are used to receiving a dose of CBD at set times.
Also, consider consulting a healthcare professional before consuming CBD, especially if you are undergoing treatment. As a reminder, cannabidiol is considered a dietary supplement and not a medicine.
Take CBD before or after meals?
Some people may advise you to take CBD before meals while others may tell you the opposite, after meals. This is very subjective and really comes from each person's experience. It is therefore difficult to give a factual opinion on this, although we will try to answer it.
If you consume CBD oil or gummies orally after a meal, the effects may not be felt because you have just eaten and your digestive tract is full of food that can reduce or even block certain elements by not digesting them. This is called first-pass effects.
To avoid this, we recommend that you consume your CBD oil before or during your meal, but not after.
Is a CBD overdose possible?
It's a fact, CBD is harmless and its virtues are increasingly recognized. Many people wonder if it is possible to consume too high a dosage of CBD (overdose) and see side effects appear. Well the answer is yes! It is possible, but don't panic, we'll explain everything to you.
As with all foods consumed, there is with the molecules present in our food what we can call a threshold not to be exceeded in order to avoid undesirable effects. For the dosage of CBD, it is important not to exceed 1500 mg in the body. A daily dose being given at 25 mg per day, it will logically be impossible to ingest that much CBD.
As you will have understood, it is normally impossible to recommend a perfect CBD dosage, but there were certain important points for which it was better to be informed. If you would like more information on the dosage of a particular product, do not hesitate to send us a message or go to the various frequently asked questions at the bottom of each of the pages of our different categories.
