CBD vs THC: How does CBD help you wean yourself off THC?

CBD vs THC: Is it possible to stop using THC thanks to CBD?

The answer is YES and the Cali Weed team is very proud to present this article to you! Indeed, thanks to CBD (so-called light or well-being cannabis), a large number of people have been able to stop their consumption of recreational cannabis with a high THC content and thus regain their cognitive abilities.

Obviously, many THC smokers who do not want to quit will not have the same approach or vision. It all lies in the will and the mentality adopted when faced with this situation, like quitting smoking.

CBD or Cannabis light / well-being can support you in this process of stopping THC.

Molecules present in cannabis

First of all, we find THC, which has so-called "high" properties. This THC also has the particularity of making you dependent very quickly due to its addictive nature (you become hooked very quickly!). Stress, nervousness and stomach aches are all symptoms proving that this psychotropic molecule has unfortunately made you dependent.

For occasional consumers of THC in recreational cannabis (high percentage in the product), this can cause “bad trips” or even paranoia attacks in the long term.

Remember that products containing THC are prohibited by French law and considered a drug or narcotic when the THC level exceeds 0.2%.

With light/well-being cannabis, you will find several molecules including CBD or CBG but also in smaller quantities CBN, CBC, etc.

These cannabinoids have different interesting properties and this cannabis has been stripped of its high THC dosage so that we can benefit from the relaxing and calming properties rather than the "high" ones. This light cannabis is of course completely legal because it has a THC level of less than 0.2%.

CBD, like CBG and other cannabinoids present in the plant, are not psychoactive or even addictive. Therefore, consuming CBD or CBG will not cause any addiction problems!

Some studies show that light Cannabis helps reduce memory impairment caused by THC.

CBD vs THC: What is the Evidence CBD Works to Stop THC?

Between 2014 and 2015, researchers managed to prove that thanks to CBD, the rate of consumption among the patients concerned reduced the intake of Cannabis THC without having any harmful effects on health. These same researchers gathered 48 people during this experiment and distributed doses of 200, 400 and 800mg of CBD as well as a placebo to the patients.

This experiment was a success since in 2016, they repeated the experiment allowing to deduce that with doses of 400 and 800mg, the reduction of THC consumption was proven. This study would serve to prove that CBD is not only valid for THC withdrawal but that it can also be for other addictions.

Consuming light/wellness Cannabis to stop THC

The Cali Weed team is well placed to talk to you about this subject! Indeed, several people close to us have been able to overcome their THC addiction thanks to CBD or CBG.

Stopping THC can cause some discomfort in some people, such as: sleep disorders, increased irritability which often turns into a form of aggression or anger, stomach aches, anxiety, etc.

Quitting THC is a difficult decision psychologically, and being able to count on an ally to support you can be very useful. It is a process that requires willpower, especially for long-time regular users.

CBD or Cannabis light / well-being is then an obvious choice to reduce all this stress brought about by stopping THC. In the CBD vs THC fight, CBD can therefore be a great ally to overcome your THC addiction. It's a helping hand so why not jump at the chance?

Let us also remember that a healthy lifestyle takes precedence over the help that products and supplements can provide. Exercise, a healthy and balanced diet and regular sleep are a great combination to avoid relapsing. Additional advice: Get out and get some fresh air, get closer to nature and your loved ones because boredom is a factor that promotes a relapse in THC consumption.

So don't hesitate to get help from a doctor who will be able to help you!
