CBD PROFESSIONAL HEALTH ADVICE MAFRENCHWEED

What do health professionals think about CBD?

Sold in a large number of specialist stores, but also on the internet and in some pharmacies, cannabidiol or CBD is becoming increasingly popular. However, there are still many prejudices surrounding it. What's the difference between CBD and cannabis? Is cannabidiol harmful to consumers' health? How does it help relieve pain? These are just some of the questions we'll be answering in this article, based on the opinions of health professionals.

These days, it's hard not to notice CBD. It's a molecule found in hemp flowers. Cannabis isn't just a plant with a psychoactive effect. In fact, it's simply a single molecule inside cannabis that has demonized the plant: THC. Cannabis possesses over a hundred cannabinoids that have absolutely no high. On the contrary, many of these molecules have yet to be analyzed in research and could help many people relieve chronic pain, for example.

Hemp varieties with no (or very low) THC content have more than notable benefits in helping to soothe certain pathologies. This is the case, for example, in the fight against addictions, as CBD is a natural anxiolytic with relaxing effects.

CBD: WHO opinion

Cannabidiol is not a narcotic according to the WHO. The World Health Organization said and wrote in a statement in 2017 that cannabidiol is not dangerous to health. Indeed, the WHO very quickly realized that CBD does not produce the psychoactive effects that are observed with THC. So it seems that for the experts at the World Health Organization, cannabidiol does not present "abuse potential" or "be harmful to health".

Opinions on CBD as a treatment

In the same press release, the World Health Organization points out that cannabidiol has "some therapeutic value", although more research is needed to confirm this. However, certain drugs are already available to treat epilepsy. In France, the use of these drugs is attracting a great deal of attention, and more and more researchers are looking into the subject. This is only to be expected, since CBD has many virtues, including anti-epileptic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and even anxiolytic properties.

For some health professionals, cannabidiol really does help people relieve various everyday ailments such as backache, migraines and insomnia. According to health professionals, it also helps combat addictions, such as THC abuse.

A study currently being carried out on 3,000 patients in France is tending to demonstrate the beneficial effects of therapeutic cannabis in helping and relieving patients suffering from serious pathologies.

Is taking CBD risky?

Today, CBD is considered a "wellness" food supplement. Consumption methods vary, from vaporizing CBD flowers, to takingCBD oil for sublingual application, or CBD herbal tea. However, taking cannabidiol can present a number of risks if precautions are not taken. Doctors have found that some people can experience minor gastrointestinal problems, as well as alertness issues. This is linked to taking large doses of CBD alone. Conversely, there is no risk with conventional intake. As with any dietary supplement, the quality of the product you consume is also very important, and plays a pre-competitive role. Choose organic and natural products, especially those from France, as on the Cali Weed website.

These days, there are a multitude of commercialized products containing CBD, and that's a godsend, because some people don't necessarily appreciate CBD oil. They prefer, for example, CBD candies or CBD teas. If you opt for CBD flowers, then our recommendation would be to consume them with a dedicated vaporizer to avoid combustion, which is very harmful to health.

CBD of poor quality

Cannabidiol is marketed in many different places and is not currently subject to any quality control. Legislation is still unclear, so there are no guidelines. So you'll have to trust your supplier, and go for a website that doesn't hesitate to reveal the provenance of its products. In some cases, cheap CBD flowers can exceed the legal THC content, making you illegal. On the CBD Shop Cali Weed, products are French and selected because they are almost all organically grown or respect the precepts of organic farming. On some sites, CBD flowers are soaked in more than dubious mixtures to lower THC levels. You'll be legal, of course, but the quality of the products will be mediocre.

Our advice: don't hesitate to ask for laboratory analyses for CBD products you buy online or in physical stores, to be sure that the selected site controls the quality of the products resold. And don't forget to look at the technical data sheets, which should be properly completed.

The lack of legislation on the CBD market in France

All over France, specialist stores have opened their doors in recent years, as have online CBD sales websites. For the moment, French law does not authorize the production of cannabidiol-based products. However, they do not prohibit the sale of CBD - a real grey area!

After the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that France's ban on the sale of CBD flowers was illegal, the number of stores multiplied.

A change in legislation for CBD?

For the time being, there is no change in the status of CBD sales in France. Despite European recommendations on the subject, France's position on CBD remains unchanged. In spite of this, the stores that have been subject to controls and then sent to court have all been acquitted one after the other. It's worth pointing out, therefore, that CBD market players expect to see changes in legislation in the coming months.

Our opinion of CBD in France from the Cali Weed team is entirely positive. As well as seeing new stores open every day, Europe is putting pressure on France to adapt its laws to accommodate controlled legalization.
